Apologies for this, but frustration is too big right now.
The FF team makes a huge announcement on new features. Instead of introducing MCP and other stuff, please focus on the domestics. Just to be clear, I am evaluating the next technology stack and supported tooling for an enterprise app processing more than 5 billion ARR, and what I can say is, that Flutterflow is lightyears away from being a solution for enterprises.
Some basic things:
you guys break the Loop Action frequently. Upon introduction, it did not work, then it did; upon FF 6.0.0, it did not work, then it did. with 6.0.3 its broken calling out I cannot access the loop item outside the loop scope
The new Figma integration is broken and has now been removed completely - What did you guys present to us?
Merging is a mess: When somebody merges into the main branch, all others are being kicked out. How is that state of the art?
No easy way to figure out if a list contains an item. Basic list manipulation lacking.
The default answer is to use custom code - FF evolves in some sort of poor development environment. I want to void code, but I the integrated editor is just pretty bad
There's no QA - FF releases without proper QA, demonstrating huge quality issues and a lack of foundational software engineering practices
Poor SQLite support - Understand, the founders are ex google. Firebase is first class citizen. But SQLite with no data mapping capabilities, no transaction management to manage bigger sorts of transactions... yeah custom code I know
Error messages without meaning. Checking out to VSCode shows 400 error, without mentioning which errors break the code generation
No integration in custom git repositories
Lack of pre-build-pre-run hooks to modify environemtns and config files
This turns into a huge flop show, and FF is, by all means, not a platform to build enterprise-style apps with. As a single developer. But not using a scaling team. Get your house in order before announcing big stuff. We all need stability and reliability.
