[Mac] Local Run Issues After FlutterFlow Update – Mobile Not Syncing Properly with Android Studio

Troubleshooting
Resolved

After updating to the latest version of FlutterFlow, I’m facing multiple issues with the Local Run feature on my Android mobile device when working on a Mac. Here are the problems I'm encountering:

  • Android mobile is connected via Android Studio, but Local Run fails to start properly.

  • The build takes too long and either throws random errors or stalls.

  • Sometimes the app runs, but changes made in FlutterFlow don’t appear on the device.

  • Occasionally, I get an error message like: “This app has a bug. Contact the developer.”

  • When I try on a different Mac, it works briefly, but then the mobile device disconnects unexpectedly after a while.

  • Android Studio sometimes fails to detect the device or loses connection randomly.

This only started happening after the recent FlutterFlow update. Everything worked smoothly before that.

What have you tried so far?
  • Reinstalled Android Studio.

  • Verified USB debugging is enabled and permissions granted.

  • Tried using different USB cables and ports.

  • Ran flutter doctor – no major issues reported.

  • Performed flutter clean and rebuilt the app.

  • Synced project with Gradle in Android Studio.

  • Restarted both Mac and mobile device.

  • Made sure Flutter SDK is updated.

  • Tried it on a new Mac – it worked initially, then had the same issues.

Did you check FlutterFlow's Documentation for this topic?
