I've been playing around with Calendar_Date_Picker2 which has a lot of different options. Pretty easy to setup as a custom widget.

They shouldn't, it makes a lot more sense on a mobile device to use a swiping interface instead of a tiny calendar. But, something about it just strikes me as wrong.
