Albi: Revolutionizing the experience of giving and volunteering

Hey everyone! I'm Nasir, the founder of Albi – the first-ever all-in-one mobile app for nonprofits!

The idea for Albi began when I was a student. I struggled to find volunteer opportunities and track my hours for the student groups I was part of. It was a hassle trying to find events that fit my schedule—too many platforms, confusing sign-up processes, outdated posts, and no real way to stay organized. As I got older, I realized the same problems popped up when I tried to get involved in my community. Whether it was donating items, keeping up with nonprofits on websites that hadn’t been updated since I was in diapers, or applying for jobs with organizations I supported, everything felt fragmented, frustrating, and uninspiring.

I know so many people want to support causes they care about and make a difference, but without a central way to discover opportunities and build lasting relationships, it’s almost impossible to stay engaged long-term. That’s when I decided to create Albi! What started as a small idea has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

I couldn’t have done it without Flutterflow. With my limited technical background, Flutterflow made it easy to learn, customize, and build an app that’s simple to manage and scalable. In months, I was able to build and launch Albi in the App Store! I’d love for you to check it out and share your honest feedback with me.

Albi is the first all-in-one app for nonprofits and their supporters. It makes discovering, supporting, and staying connected with organizations easy. Supporters can explore countless ways to get involved, from volunteering to donating, and track their impact—all in one place.

Use interactive maps to discover local opportunities, or explore our staff-curated featured cards highlighting important causes like Giving Day, emergency response efforts, and Cancer Awareness Month. With so many ways to discover new ways to make an impact, the Explore page makes it easy to find and support what matters most to you.

Why spend time searching when you can see exactly what you're looking for? After discovering an organization you love, simply follow them, and all their updates will appear in your Home feed—just like your favorite social media app. It’s your personalized space to stay up-to-date with everything they have to offer. Never miss a thing and easily stay connected to the causes that matter most to you!

Profile

Your profile keeps everything organized—showing all the upcoming opportunities you’ve signed up for, with push notifications to keep you up to date. Unlock achievements, set volunteer and donation goals, and manage your activity history all in one place. Visualize your impact and show it to the world!

Volunteer

Volunteering with Albi is as simple as a click of a button. Find an event you like, hit "Sign-Up," and you're all set! No lengthy sign-up forms or complicated steps. Get a QR ticket right in the app with all the details you need. Once you're done, your hours are automatically credited to your account.

Resources

We all need a helping hand at times. Albi connects those in need with the nonprofits that have the resources to assist. Whether it's shelter, food, medicine, or more, nonprofits can share what they have available, allowing people in need to easily access them, with dignity and certainty.

Appeals

When tragedy strikes, Albi is there to help. Nonprofits can share appeals for the resources they urgently need, whether it's blankets, supplies, or other essentials, and supporters can have the confidence that their contributions are going to vetted, trusted organizations making a real difference.

Whether you’re a brand looking to showcase your social impact or a student group tracking member hours, Albi’s Team feature makes doing good a community experience. Team’s can track collective hours and dollars raised, and host fun ticketed events to raise money for their favorite charities!
