Can't change CheckboxListTile background color

Troubleshooting

I can't change the background color of a CheckboxListTile; it's always transparent. Does anyone else have the same issue? Any suggestions are appreciated.

What have you tried so far?

Change the background color of the container;
Both checked in preview mode and test mode;
Change default checkbox select state;
Make sure opacity is set to 1;
Remove the emoji;
