Carousel not updating Page State on Page Change

It used to worked as expected, but recently it stopped working. Basically when I swipe through the carousel it will update the selectedCategory page state to the List Item at Index of the carousel, which then updates the GridView below, although it is not happening at all anymore :(

What have you tried so far?

Looked for similar problems, however did not find any problems like this one, the other thing is that it used to work so it should still work(logic is correct).
