Check if document exist when the collection of this document is doesn't use in page

Hello, I am developing a chat feature. When the person clicks on the "Contact" button, I create a conversation and navigate to the chat page. I would now like to check before creating a new conversation, check if it doesn't exist first. However, the conversation collection is not accessible on this page. How to do it please?

What have you tried so far?

I tried add Add Query in row of button, but if the document doesn't exist, the row doesn't appear.
