Hello Inactive Member
I have a question please. I can't afford Google Maps', pay as you go option. I read something about, saving Shops Lat/Long in the backend (Firestore), then something indexing will be done by Firestore. when Customer/user, will grant location access in their app, App will take User's Lat/Long coordinates and calculate the distance from the Shops Lat/Long saved in Firestore. This logic will remove Google Maps dependency in the App. But I am a non tech person, I don't know how to implement this type of functionality in the app. So, far I have learned from Docs or watching videos, those are Great.
Can you please make a video on this or using OpenSource/StreetMaps and others, it would help lots of new learners on FF platform. Please share your thoughts on, how effective it will be when shops count increases on the platform. Will the distance calculations speed be reduced?
