Customise Google Maps

Widgets & Design

Hi,

Does the Google Maps widget for FlutterFlow facilitate customisation options other than what's available within the properties window? The idea is to build a custom map with a minimal, clean appearance to the map - everything would be a light monochrome, excluding features such as water and non urban land.

Unilaterally, how would it be possible to integrate MapBox into a FlutterFlow project? This would therefore boast the option to have a customisation array, with the ability to alter the appearance of elements where Google Maps would fall short to.

What have you tried so far?

Checked the internet for solutions, including from FlutterFlow Youtube articles besides FlutterFlow documentation - https://docs.flutterflow.io/integrations/google-maps/google-maps-widget/

  • The article mentions the altercation of Map Types, however this doesn't support the visual landscape in mind, Silver does come close, though everything within the app appears monochrome, including land and water.

Explored the Google Cloud Platform, there is the ability to make change to map styling, though these changes are not carried over to FlutterFlow, as there is no tangible difference to the default appearance of the Google Maps widget.

Capitalised on support guides within Google Workspace, however have been unable to replicate processes from these forums into FlutterFlow.

Did you check FlutterFlow's Documentation for this topic?
