Deep link works in apple but not in android

I have mobile that is in production. I have deeplink

goflexieapp://goflexieapp.com/account_creation?referral=5680b85a-09f4-4444-a759-cc1993645375
or
goflexieapp://goflexieapp.com

both links work in apple devices. It opens app the apple store or directs users to the mobile app. But in android devices it either makes a phone call or it opens a web browser and it says the "goflexieapp.com's server IP address could not be found".

What have you tried so far?

I've tried looking into Firebase dynamic link but this solution is no longer viable. I'm confused on why it works on apple but not android devices.
