Emojis not showing up in CheckBoxListTile

Troubleshooting

Emojis are showing up as squares and strange characters. When i use F12 to look at the actual response text i'm trying to show, i do see the actual emojis there. But when its displayed on my app it looks like this.

What have you tried so far?

Tried different web browsers but same result.
