File Upload Progress Bar

For my app, one of our features is uploading files into various folders but since there's some latency in adding files >20 seconds I wanted to learn any straightforward ways to include a file upload progress bar in the app page/component to improve the UI/UX

What have you tried so far?

i've looked into building a manual one that's show updates every 500 ms but that's not very effective
