How can I make ChoiceChips overlap one another?

I'm looking to make my ChoiceChips overlap each other similar to how many other apps and sites do. This is what mine currently looks like, I need for the selected chip to stay rounded while selected on all edges, and for the unselected chip to extend and go behind the selected chip.

The image on the bottom here is how I would like for it to look. I have not see any options or pages that explain how this can be done.

What have you tried so far?

Utilizing a similar component such as the pre-built Light/Dark mode selector but that did not work. Tried adjusting the spacing, tried adding a negative spacing (not a thing?) tried putting them in a container and shrinking the container. Using wrap and row for ChoiceChips. Nothing has worked.
