How do I allow users to pick a font?

I would like to allow users to pick their own font for reading content. How can I do this?

What have you tried so far?

I thought I could add a dropdown option to let users to pick and assign it's value to the Text widget's Font Family, however the Font Family only allows choosing from a pre-defined list and does not allow setting value from a variable.
