Local Currency Only Showing $

By leaving the "Currency Symbol" blank, it should display the user's local currency. However, it only ever shows $.

My users' profile even includes their location (gathered from global value "current device location". Still only $.

What have you tried so far?

Tried leaving the currency blank, and also collecting users' locations.
