Login with Email/Password + 2 Factor SMS authentication using firebase

Hi All,

Is it possible add 2 factor authentication using SMS after logging with Email & Password?

My developer is using Firebase for the backend and he says the above is not possible using Firebase. He says an external API is needed for the SMS part.

Would greatly appreciate any support with this
