Needed: FlutterFlow Android Emulator Setup – Gradle/Java Compatibility Issues

Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,

I’ve been struggling to get the local Android emulator working on windows with FlutterFlow, and I’m hoping someone here can help me out.

The issue I’m running into is that I keep getting an error saying my Gradle and Java versions are not compatible. No matter what I try, I just can’t seem to resolve this issue. I’ve followed countless guides, updated/downgraded Gradle and Java versions, and tried all the fixes I could find online, but nothing seems to work.

I installed the Android emulator through Android Studio, and it boots up fine there. However, I’m unsure about the difference between running it from Android Studio versus running it from VS Code. Specifically, I’m wondering:

  1. Does VS Code run the Flutter project from FlutterFlow’s internal setup, or does it rely on the system-installed Flutter?

  2. Could this issue be related to how FlutterFlow handles its Flutter/Gradle setup, and are there specific steps I should take to align these environments?

  3. Do i have to run it through the actual vscode project?

I really need to get this to work, as it’s blocking my progress. If anyone has experienced this issue before or has any guidance on resolving it, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance for any tips, suggestions, or insights!
