Problem with the google-services.json being updated

Troubleshooting

Hello,
I’m having trouble getting my Firebase Android config to refresh in FlutterFlow.

  1. Add or update the SHA-256 fingerprints (both debug and release) under Firebase Console → Project Settings → Your Android App

  2. Click Regenerate Config Files in FlutterFlow → App Settings → Firebase

  3. Download the code and inspected gppgle-servies.json

…my google-services.json never actually picks up the new SHA-256 entries. I still only see the original OAuth client block, and Firebase continues to block my APK with:

below is what i get when i try to login to the App via the phone.
Requests from this Android client application com.optimise.driverapp are blocked

I’ve confirmed:

  • My package name matches

  • Both SHA-256 fingerprints (debug & release) are saved in Firebase and appear under “SHA certificate fingerprints.”

  • I’m clicking Regenerate Config Files, waiting for the spinner to finish, then rebuilding or downloading the code to verify.

Expected:
google-service.json inside android/app should contain multiple oauth_client entries (one per SHA-256) so my APK signatures are recognized.

Actual:
The JSON remains unchanged and no new oauth_client blocks ever appear.

Could you please advise:

  1. Why isn’t FlutterFlow pulling in my updated Firebase config?

  2. Is there a manual step I’m missing after “Regenerate Config Files”?

  3. How can I force FlutterFlow to include the new google-service.json in its cloud build pipeline?

Thanks in advance for your help!

What have you tried so far?

Everything !!!!!!

Did you check FlutterFlow's Documentation for this topic?
