Test Mode fails with "Session is deleted" (SandboxFetchException 410) after configuring a push notification trigger

Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,

I've been stuck with a persistent Test Mode failure and would appreciate any pointers.

What's happening: Since configuring a "Trigger Push Notification" action (on a course wall post trigger), Run/Test Mode fails every time with:

test_mode_codegen ... SandboxFetchException(410): Failed to fetch project-proto: HTTP 410 โ€” {"error":"Session is deleted"}

This happens consistently, even after a full page reload and a complete logout/login.

What I've already ruled out:

  • Deploy works fine โ€” my Cloud Functions deploy successfully with no errors. Only Run/Test Mode is affected.

  • Cloud Functions region โ€” confirmed matching (europe-west3, consistent with my Firestore in eur3).

  • IAM permissions โ€” confirmed the FlutterFlow service account has Cloud Functions Admin, Editor, and Service Account User roles on my Firebase project.

  • Along the way I also hit a pubspec version conflict (web vs cloud_functions_web) and a "Failed to list functions" error โ€” both resolved.

So this looks like a sandbox/session infrastructure issue on FlutterFlow's side rather than a project configuration problem. I've also noticed a few other threads here describing similar recurring Test Mode session failures.

I've already reached out via email and live chat without any response so far. Has anyone found a reliable workaround, or is this a known issue being tracked? Any help appreciated โ€” thanks!
