when adding csv collections do field names carry across collections

I cannot upload my csv to a second collection.

My first collection went up fine. My second collection is not working. I renamed the fields in the second collection by adding a prefix so they would differ from field names of first collection but that is not working.

I don't think field names carry over from collection to collection but that is the only problem I can think of that might prevent the upload from occurring.

What have you tried so far?

renamed the fields, renamed the collection, checked the collection was also added in Firebase
