Why I cannot use JSON Path with a JSON (list) type Page State variable ?

I am not able to JSON Path with a JSON (list) type Page State variable.

Why ?

May someone help me ?

What have you tried so far?

It works with JSON Body from API request. But I set a Page State JSON variable filtering some records from API return and not able to use JSON Path.
