For the past few weeks, the YouTube VideoPlayer widget has stopped working correctly.
Many videos that used to play perfectly fine now either:
show a black screen, or
display the message “An error occurred. Please try again later.”
All these videos work perfectly on YouTube itself, so the issue clearly comes from the YouTube widget integration.
This problem is severely impacting my users, who can no longer watch videos that were fully functional before. It’s damaging the app experience and creating frustration among paying users.
It seems related to recent changes in YouTube’s embedded player API, and it’s urgent that FlutterFlow updates or fixes the YouTube widget accordingly.
Please treat this as a high-priority issue — it’s affecting production apps and cannot be ignored any longer.
We need an official fix from the FlutterFlow team as soon as possible.
