I will like to share with you this custom widget.
It's fully customizable. You can set the following options:
Allow Multiple files
Allow Single file
Define Allowed extensions
Define Max File Size
Default Images for different file types
The widget is only the drop zone and with one simple action you get a list of DataTypes with all the files information. This gives you all the flexibility to create your own layout for displaying the files.
On the DataType you have the files in Bytes and Base64. The simple action previously mentioned is the one that uploads the file and saves the URL, this allows the developer to change the flow if needed.
