Someone recently asked me if they should learn FlutterFlow or "just vibe code my way through it" to develop an app.
I was floored. So I did what any rational person would do - spent a week researching this madness.

My thoughts:
Visual platforms like FlutterFlow aren't going anywhere - they solve architecture problems AI can't
The "walled garden" debate is missing the point (extensibility > flexibility)
AI prompting creates beautiful prototypes... and unmaintainable production nightmares
Cross-platform consistency? Good luck with pure vibe coding
Flutter has a unique advantage with it's cross-platform from one codebase approach that isn't being talked about enough
Hot take: The future isn't vibe coding OR visual development - it's both working together.
FlutterFlow + AI assistance = 🔥
Pure AI prompting for production apps = 💀
Which camp are you in? Team visual builders or team "just tell the AI what you want"?
And more importantly - have you tried combining both approaches?
