I often hear a common myth in our space: "FlutterFlow is amazing for MVPs, but it will crash under heavy traffic with Firebase."
With over 20 years of background in software engineering, and more than 4 years diving deep into FlutterFlow, I’ve always believed the platform is far more capable than many think. The bottleneck is rarely the tool itself; it's usually the architecture and the logic behind it.
Recently, we put this to the ultimate test. We built a highly complex social engine (featuring on-device video compression, reels, and smart algorithms) for a YouTube gaming channel with over 1 million subscribers.
On launch day, we hit a massive 7,000 to 10,000 Daily Active Users (DAU). I monitored the backend minute by minute. The result? The infrastructure didn't flinch. It remained rock solid and 1000% stable.
I am attaching some feedback we received post-launch. I’m sharing this here not to promote anything, but to share a powerful reminder with this amazing community:
If you focus on building a clean architecture, utilizing Custom Actions/Functions efficiently, optimizing your database reads/writes, and designing smart logic, there is practically no limit to what you can achieve on FlutterFlow.
The platform is ready for the big leagues. Keep building, everyone! 💪
