Community forums getting harder to use

Anyone else find the community discussions here are going backwards a little?

There’s some basic UX traps that have been growing over time that I find are reducing engagement around here - hope this helps feedback and curious of any ideas from others to help the team improve things

  • posts are sorted backwards, so if you join a post with a bunch of replies and just want to read the discussion in chronological order you have to scroll down and tap “show more” until you get to the first responses. Sometimes I have to scroll and click show more up to 10 times just to see the first response in a thread. Seeing the most recent response first

  • The most popular posts are always the same. There’s needs to be some sense of popular the past week for it to be useful

  • Search is one of the most important tasks in a forum but the results are limited and cropped off. It’s often 3 or 5 or 10 items deep in search results before you find a solid solution (in general I’m not sure why but the accuracy of results feels like it was better with the old forums)
