Typesense or Algolia?

Best Practices

Anyone here have a preference between the two with integrating into Flutterflow? I’ve initially set up Algolia and love the seamless integration via FF and Firebase but I can now see how people mention how expensive it is. For scalability I can see my costs getting out of control if I ever had more than say 50 active users and they were all completing 10 or so search/filter operations. The unpredictability nature of how the billing works makes me feel I’d get burned fast.

Typesense on the other hand seems to offer unlimited records/searches with a fixed cost per month cloud server hosting (only variable being how much RAM you need so that’s based off your record size) but the cheapest one which fits my current app is $21.60 which is the equivalent of 43,200 Algolia searches (1,440 searches a day)

What are people’s thoughts/experience with both and on scalability/optimising user performance

My risk I want to address is I don’t want to stay on Algolia if it means I’ll have to move in the future if those costs get higher and revenue can’t cover it in the early days/months
