Hello FlutterFlow Community,
I'm reaching out to get some assistance from fellow developers who might have faced and overcome similar challenges with the App Store submissions.
Recently, my app submission was flagged by Apple under "Guideline 4.3 - Design," citing that my app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept with other apps on the App Store but with only minor differences. This was quite surprising, as I have designed my app with a unique concept that stands apart from existing applications.
Here’s the feedback I received from Apple:
"Guideline 4.3 - Design
We noticed your app still shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences.
Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps.
Next Steps
Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality."
I am seeking advice on the following:
1. Has anyone else encountered a rejection like this, and how did you address it?
2. Are there specific design elements or frameworks (such as Cupertino) that I should incorporate to better align my app with Apple's preferred aesthetics?
3. What strategies can I implement to emphasize the unique features and functionality of my app in a resubmission to adequately differentiate it from others?
I'm determined to get my app approved and would greatly appreciate any insights or experiences you can share regarding a successful appeal. Your input might just be the key to tweaking my design to align with Apple's standards and to clearly showcase the uniqueness of my app.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Best,
Alex
