Google Play | Exceeds maximum allowed size of 150 MB

Resolved

Hi - New to FlutterFlow and Google Play (previous experience with iOS apps) and working on our first project.

We're receiving a message that the maximum allowed size of 150 MB is being exceeded when attempting to publish to the Google Play store.

Things we've looked at:

  • Support Articles

    • I wasn't able to find anything relevant. Did I miss something?

  • Community

    • The search results are a bit challenging to sort through so I'll admit I may have missed a discussion in the community but even using google to search the community didn't seem to turn up anything

  • Chat with Support

    • We're on the team plan and attempted to contact support via chat and for four days the only response we've received is that they'll get back to us if they get an answer from the Technical Team. We asked whether a feature exists to inspect the project size or for any tips finding support articles or community posts that may be helpful and have not received a response.

Things we've tried in the project:

  • Assets

    • Removed all non-essential assets (already had the setting to not include unused assets)

    • Previously had uploaded some large video files but deleted and moved them to cloud storage

  • Dependencies

    • Checked custom widgets for large dependencies, nothing stood out

Questions:

  • Is there somewhere in FlutterFlow that allows you to see what's driving your application size up?

  • For large applications, is there a way in FlutterFlow to implement Play Asset Delivery or Play Feature Delivery?

  • Any other thoughts or ideas on how to troubleshoot or overcome the file size blocker?
